MAKING SENSE OF RELATIONSHIPS
Conflict or distance in a relationship
You may be dealing with repeated conflict, distance, poor communication, a separation, broken trust or a family pattern that leaves you feeling stuck. Sometimes the difficulty is with a partner or family member. Sometimes it is the way past relationships continue to affect the present.
You may want to understand what keeps happening, find clearer boundaries or work through a change. We can begin with the relationship or experience that feels most important to you.
WORKING TOGETHER
A space to explore
your relationships.
You can come to counselling on your own to understand a relationship, strengthen boundaries, process a change or look at patterns in how you connect with others. The other person does not need to attend for this work to be useful.
How earlier relationships
can affect you
Current difficulties can be shaped by earlier experiences of closeness, conflict, responsibility, safety or loss. We can explore these links without blaming you or your family and consider how you want to respond now.

A CALM PLACE TO BEGIN
A respectful first
conversation.
Before arranging a session, we can discuss what support you are looking for and whether I am the right therapist for you. Sessions are available in County Wexford and online, subject to suitability.
About Marie How counselling worksQuestions about counselling
Can I come to counselling on my own?
Yes. This is individual counselling. You can come on your own to explore relationship or family difficulties, understand patterns and consider what you need. The other person does not need to attend.
Can we talk about family patterns?
Yes. We can explore how earlier experiences and family relationships may influence the way you feel, connect with others and respond now. We will agree the focus together and work at your pace.
Can we meet online?
Online counselling may be an option if you are in Ireland and have a suitable private space. We can discuss privacy, your circumstances and suitability before beginning. Read about online counselling.
