MAKING SPACE FOR GRIEF
Grief does not
follow a timetable.
Bereavement can affect your emotions, sleep, concentration, relationships, routines and sense of the future. You may feel sadness, anger, guilt, relief, numbness or many different things at once. There is no single correct way to grieve.
You can bring whatever feels present for you, without needing to explain it neatly or make it easier for anyone else.
WORKING TOGETHER
Talking about loss
Counselling gives you room to speak about the person, relationship or life that has been lost without pressure to move on. We can explore what the loss means to you and how you are living with its practical and emotional effects.
Loss takes
many forms.
People may seek support after a death, relationship ending, health change, infertility, retirement, relocation or another ending that has changed how life feels. The significance of a loss is not measured by how other people respond to it.

A CALM PLACE TO BEGIN
Ask about bereavement counselling
You can attend in person in County Wexford or online across Ireland. Your first contact can be short. We can discuss what support you are looking for and whether this is the right time and setting for counselling.
About Marie How counselling worksQuestions about counselling
Is there a right way or time to grieve?
There is no single correct way to grieve or fixed timetable you need to follow. You can bring whatever feels present, including sadness, anger, relief, numbness or mixed feelings. We can make space for your experience at your pace.
Can I seek support for a loss other than a death?
Yes. You can seek support after a relationship ending, a change in health, retirement, relocation or another ending that has changed how life feels. You do not need to compare your loss with anyone else’s to ask for support.
Can we meet online?
Online counselling may be an option if you are in Ireland and have a suitable private space. We can discuss privacy, your circumstances and suitability before beginning. Read about online counselling.
