TIME FOR YOU
What counselling
can offer.
Counselling can give you protected time to talk about what has been happening without having to look after anyone else’s feelings. You may be dealing with anxiety, low mood, relationship strain, loss, stress or a change that has unsettled you. You may simply feel that you have been coping alone for too long.
Therapy is a collaborative process. We can look at what is happening now, what may be contributing to it and what you want to be different. Some people want help with an immediate difficulty. Others want to understand longer-standing patterns in how they feel, relate or respond.
There is no requirement to arrive with a diagnosis, a complete story or a fixed goal. We can take time to understand what you need and review the work as it develops.
HOW I WORK
A humanistic and
integrative approach.
My approach is humanistic and integrative. This means the relationship is central and the work is adapted to you. I may also draw on practical behavioural or cognitive ideas when they are relevant, and we’ll discuss how they relate to what you want help with.
Humanistic
Respect for you as a whole person.
Integrative
Using ideas and techniques from different approaches to psychotherapy.
Collaborative
Agreeing the focus and reviewing the work together.
Privacy and
the practice location.
The practice is in County Wexford, midway between Arklow and Gorey, with ample free parking. Sessions are by appointment. I’ll send the exact address and arrival information directly before your first visit.
Ask about an appointmentIs in-person counselling
right for you?
Some people value travelling to a separate, quiet place for therapy. Others need the convenience of meeting online. Both options provide dedicated time with the same therapist. If you are unsure, we can discuss which arrangement is likely to work best for you.
ANOTHER WAY TO MEET
Online counselling
Dedicated time with the same therapist, from a suitable private space.
